Michael Adams who is one of the editors of Empire, said to be the largest selling film magazines of America, has singled out a Bollywood film for the first time for mention.
Writing on the Blue trailer in his column called Schlock and Awe, Adams says, Its Bollywood. Its Fast and Furious, Its Deep Blue Sea, and Its Chicago. Its explode-y, bite-y, and dance-y and rather brilliant.
In the movie Akshay Kumar plays the character of a rich businessman who is obsessed with money and thirsts for more. He plays a driven man who does not hesitate to flaunt his arrogance and status. Based on the oceans, the significance of ‘blue’ doesn’t end here. He even owns a business called ‘Blue Shipping and Fisheries’! The movie has also been in news recently as the actor has been seen sporting a ‘Blue’ tattoo on his neck.
Director Tony DSouza who will head to Hollywood later this month to the Warner Brothers studios for the mixing of Blue is over the moon. Michael Adams is like the last word in Hollywood opinion. Blue is the first film to be mentioned in his column.
