Big Boss 3 – Amitabh Bachchan Host

And so it begins.. Yes It’s back and how.. We are talking about season 3 of Big Boss.

Amitabh Bachchan made headlines when he decided to host Kaun Banega Crorepati on Star Plus in early 2000. The game show went on to become one of the most watched of its time. Big B will soon be back on the small screen, this time to host Season 3 of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss. In this season, Bachchan will be playing the role of ”Pop Philosopher” – a unique concept that will be one of the differentiators of this season.

As ”Pop Philosopher”, Big B will bridge the gap between ”Bigg Boss” participants and viewers – through contextualizing events, simplifying emotions and most importantly, analyzing developments that happen within the ”Bigg Boss” house.

After keeping millions of households glued-on to ”Bigg Boss Season 2” last year, COLORS today announced the launch date of ”Bigg Boss” season 3. Bachchan will be appearing on the show, twice every week – on Fridays and Saturdays. The show starts airing on October 4 at 9.00 p.m., everyday on COLORS.Brought in as a replacement for Shilpa Shetty on Bigg Boss, the ‘Shahenshah’ of Bollywood will take home Rs 1.5 crore per episode. Multiply that by 84 episodes and what you get is a staggering Rs 126 crore pay check for Bachchan.

There have also been rumors about Narayani Shastri aka Rimjhim of Piya Ka Ghar has been buzzed to enter the house of Big Boss 3. In response she replied, No, I am not at all trying or have been chosen as a contestant of Big Boss3 as it does not interest me. Even if given a chance to be in the house of BB3, I will not accept the proposal.

But our little birdie from the production house informs, Narayani Shastri will be seen as a contestant in Big Boss, she will be the next celebrity to enter into the team.So now the issue has really put us into the dilemma with no option, but to just wait and see if Narayani actually enters the house of Big Boss 3.

If this wasn’t enough it is also said that Raju Srivastav of Laughter Challenge fame, has almost been finalized. Yogi Baba Ramdev to join the show as a contestant was also considered and Baba was sportive enough to accept the offer but he placed conditions which proved rather heavy on the producers. Baba Ramdev later rejected the offer for he found the show’s discipline did not match with his ascetic discipline, sources said.

Hmm, now there is Amitabh Bachchan who is going to host the show with a philosophical approach. But we don’t think that the producers have to rope in someone who has such strong ethical lifestyle.
