Adobe update service is usually set to Automatic, that is it regularly checks for the updates, usually for Adobe Acrobat Reader, Photoshop or Flash. The update service can be disabled, or toggled to manual mode. The procedure to disable Adobe Updater is as follows:

  • Go to “C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeUpdater5”, locate AdobeUpdaterInstallMgr.exe and execute it.
  • Click on the Preferences link in the Window.

  • Check all the check fields and Click Ok to save the changes.

  • Finally, the Adobe Updater, alerts “No Updates Available” and it disables the Automatic Mode of Downloading updates.
