Introduction

Well, Google updated its Gmail Product with a new Message Drag and Drop feature. This feature is enabled for all standard Gmail users and other Premium users as well. This features allows user to drag the message from Inbox to the specific Label, that is minimizing the effort of assigning label and archiving it.

As user logs on, Google alerts User for the very first time, and introduces with a Tool Tip, about the Feature Updated. Else this feature can be enabled under Settings > Labels.

In addition to the Drag Drop feature, Google shortened the Navigation Pane for Labels, by hiding the labels which are rarely used, and sorting with the ones which are frequently used.

How to Drag-Drop a Message into Label ?

Click on the dotted lines to select the message, further drag-drop the message to the respective Label in the left Navigation. The message will be archived to the respective Label and will be moved from the current location automatically.

Advanced Label Management

Further, Google updated Label Management, with ease in accessibility. On a single click, user can change the colour of the label, rename the label, and also Hiding and Deleting of the labels.
