How to recover Show Desktop file in Quick Launch ?

Did you accidently deleted your “Show Desktop” file from the quick launch toolbar ? No, need to worry, the file can be created easily, and recovered. The Show Desktop file is a Shell Explorer File which needs with a five line code, edited on a Notepad.

Below is the procedure to create desktop.scf file.

  • Right Click on Desktop and select New, then choose Text Document.

  • Double click on the newly created text document. When Notepad window opens, Type down the code, below in italics, in the NotePad very precisely.

  • Next, click on File menu and hit Save As…
