Msconfig utility is very user-friendly when it comes to changing the startup program entries. It might not be so when we consider other tabs like services or boot.ini as it does not give us a detailed description as to what a particular service does. It is better to go to start>run>type services.msc to get a detailed picture of a particular service and then decide whether it is important or not to keep it running.
