According to the cnidocysts, the Jellyfish weakens its prey by emitting toxins and enzymes which contain poison. Once the prey is dead, jellyfish sucks the creature towards its stomach. They also added, the temperature of water in Japanese and the amount of phosphorus and nitrogen, makes Japanese water, an ideal breeding place.

This jellyfish has disturbed a lot of fishery business as by decreasing the number of small fish, wrecking fishing nets and unbalancing the natural food chain by overconsumption.
