Indian currency Rupee going to get a new design

If we talk about American currency we have $ as  symbol and so on for other currency. India seems to be a step behind getting an official symbol for the Indian currency i.e. Rupees.

The best part is if you are a designer, you can take part in this historical event by taking participate in the Indian currency symbol contest.

To participate in the contest you have to pay the entry fees of 10$ (500Rs) and  if your symbol will be selected, you will get $5000.
