Ranbir Kapoor now goes another time big banner with YRF, this time with a comedy flick “Rocket Singh Salesman of the Year” .The film has Ranbir Kapoor with new introduce Shazhan Padmasee both in lead role.
Shazahn Padamsee, is the daughter of renowned ad-guru-cum-theatre personality Alque Padmasee and pop diva Sharon Prabhakar.
Sources reveal that though many heroines auditioned, the crew selected Shazahn, who, according to them, has the right credentials. “For a long time, Yash Raj has been auditioning actors for the leading lady’s role. There are very few young actors who would fit the bill of a leading lady opposite Ranbir. After weeks of auditioning, it seems that Yash Raj has zeroed down on Shazahn Padamsee, thanks to her credentials,” a source said.
Shazahn Padamsee is also fond of kids. “Being with kids lights up Shazahn face,” said a friend of Shazahn’s. Shazahn frequently visit the Breach Candy club and spends some quality time with kids at the pool.
After Bollywood star Akshay Kumar flaunted a beard and a turban in blockbuster Singh Is Kinng, Ranbir Kapoor is set to don a similar look for a Yash Raj Film titled Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year. The comedy revolves around the character of Ranbir Kapoor and is set against the backdrop of new Indian economy.
The film marks the coming together of director Shimit Amin and writer Jaideep Sahni, who churned out blockbuster Chak De! India, which had Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role.
The movie is set to release in December this year
