Well, are your getting a similar error on your computer / laptop with Vista “’telnet’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.†??
Don’t worry, your Windows Vista is not outdated or crap, it is just that the telnet client is disabled as a feature for premium users or average users. Here is a simple tip to enable the feature online.
Steps
- Open Control Panel, and select “Turn Windows features on or off†link in left navigation.
- New window “Windows features†will open and the features will be listed on it.
- Search for “Telnet Client†in the list populated, and check mark it in order to enable it.
- Click Ok to save the changes, and waiting window will pop up.
- Be Patient and let the Windows Vista configures itself.
- Once the window closes, go to the command prompt window and check for the required Telnet Client.
